This Recommended Practice describes the pro c e d u res for an accelerated test to measure the stability of oil samples by aging oils in an oven at 60°C. Methods such as peroxide va l u e, sensory, gas ch ro m at ographic vo l atile compounds are then employed to measure ox i d ation levels and endpoints in the oils.
