  § 73.450   Riboflavin.

  (a) Identity. (1) The color additive riboflavin is the riboflavin defined in the Food Chemicals Codex, 3d Ed. (1981), pp. 262–263, which is incorporated by reference. Copies may be obtained from the National Academy Press, 2101 Constitution Ave. NW., Washington, DC 20418, or at the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA).   (2) Color additive mixtures made with riboflavin may contain as diluents only those substances listed in this subpart as safe and suitable for use in color additive mixtures for coloring foods.

  (b) Specifications. Riboflavin shall meet the specifications given in the Food Chemicals Codex, 3d Ed. (1981), which is incorporated by reference. The availability of this incorporation by reference is given in paragraph (a)(1) of this section.

  (c) Uses and restrictions. Riboflavin may be safely used for the coloring of foods generally, in amounts consistent with good manufacturing practice; except that it may not be used to color foods for which standards of identity have been promulgated under section 401 of the act, unless the use of added color is authorized by such standards.

  (d) Labeling. The label of the color additive shall conform to the requirements of §70.25 of this chapter.

  (e) Exemption from certification. Certification of this color additive is not necessary for the protection of the public health, and therefore batches thereof are exempt from the certification requirements of section 721(c) of the Act.

  §73.450 核黃素

  (a)特性:

  (1)著色劑核黃素的概況見(jiàn)FCC III(1981)P.262~263,該資料可向[E、B]處復(fù)印。

  (2)用核黃素配制成的食用著色劑混合物,只能選用本分部中所列的安全和適用于食品著色的著色劑混合物稀釋劑。

  (b)質(zhì)量規(guī)格:核黃素的質(zhì)量指標(biāo)同F(xiàn)CC III,見(jiàn)本節(jié)(a)(1)。

  (c)使用和限制條件:核黃素在符合GMP用量條件下,可安全地用于一般食品的著色,但不得用于本法規(guī)§401中頒布的已確定標(biāo)準(zhǔn)的食品的著色,除非所加入的色素是這類(lèi)標(biāo)準(zhǔn)所允許的。

  (d)標(biāo)簽標(biāo)注方式:本著色劑的標(biāo)簽應(yīng)符合本章§70.25中的要求。

  (e)免除產(chǎn)品證書(shū):本著色劑免除產(chǎn)品證書(shū)以保護(hù)公眾健康。所生產(chǎn)的每批產(chǎn)品也免除按法規(guī)§721(c)中所規(guī)定的需要產(chǎn)品證書(shū)。
