Summary
According to Article 6 of the Regulation (EC) No 396/2005, France received an application fromBayer CropScience to modify the existing MRL for thiacloprid in figs. In order to accommodate forthe intended use of thiacloprid in the Southern Europe, it is proposed to raise the existing MRL in figsfrom 0.02 mg/kg (set at the limit of quantification) to 0.5 mg/kg. France drafted an evaluation reportaccording to Article 8 of Regulation (EC) No 396/2005 which was submitted to the EuropeanCommission and forwarded to EFSA on 24 March 2010.
